I have to Agree with you there Mate

the new Expansion as added a bit of spice to the game unlike the last one , dont get me wrong the armor , new race's and the level increse were great. i just felt it was missing something,
one thing i do have a quarral with the new expanson is the changed made to the rouge class, for the moment they have been made pritty much useless but with the lateist patch that has jsut been relesed , it should improve the game play of a rouge player , in Raids due to there high Dps anyways i give this game 7 out of ten.

Well where can i begin with world of warcraft? This game will no doubt define a whole generation of gamers in years to come. The game in my opinion is absolutely groundbreaking and each expansion released has only improved the game further.

The whole game is based around you and your actions. When beginning the game the first task to tackle is to create your own character and choose a side (either horde or alliance). Originally the choice for horde were troll, undead, orc and tauren and the choices for alliance were human, dwarf, night elf and gnomes. New characters were added with the burning crusade expansion, namely the blood elves for the horde and the drenai for the alliance. Once you have decided upon a character you need to choose your class... each class has a specific purpose associated with it e.g. the warrior class is primarily used for tanking because of their ability to take and deal a lot of damage. Classes like the hunter and warlock are good distance protection classes providing support for the tanks by dealing large amounts of damage from a distance. The game is unique in the fact that it is entirely possible to live out a virtual life (which can become a problem i.e. mmorpg addiction).. The reason that the game is so addictive is that it provides you with an unlimited amount of things to achieve, whether its grinding for gold to buy that new shield or skinning mobs to improve your leather working skills, the game will literally never end... and there are always things to do. The game can literally take over your whole life, and you can live out your life as a character on a mmorpg (not recommended). With that aside, the game is actually fantastic and provides hours and hours of limitless fun. The community within the game is also a very friendly one and to date Ive never had any trouble with anyone, and generally most people are more than willing to assist you with group quests regardless of their level.

Now onto the actual expansion... The new expansion has included a brand new class: The Death knight. The requirements of the death knight is that you must have an existing character of a minimum of level 55 on the same server. The reason for this becomes totally clear when you actually play as the new class. The death knight is basically the ultimate tank and within 2 levels you have elite Armour with critical strike bonuses attached (they look cool also). Although a tad overpowered, the death knight brings a new sense of fun to the game, giving new and old the ability to obliterate enemies up to 4 levels above your own... this also increases the speed at which you can level as higher level mobs provide much more experience. The new expansion also incorporates a whole new continent within the land of Azeroth, namely northrend. Northrend is a cold harsh environment and also the home of the lich king. Upon the new continent of northrend it is also possible to access new mounts, namely ballistic equipment. Now in my opinion i didn't rate the new ballistic equipment much, but the addition of the death knight and northrend was a welcome addition, giving the game a much grander scale and re playability. Overall i was impressed and as the game was already fun i quite happily give this expansion a 8/10.

Share your thoughts on this game with the rest of the community...
